TABS-S Statement to Students

Here is suggested wording to use with students before they begin the TABS-S:
 

"Please fill out the questionnaire being distributed. It asks about experiences you have had with teasing and bullying. Please do not write your name on the questionnaire. The information is being used for research. Your school will not get information about individual students. Does anyone have any questions?"

[Wait for questions and answer any that arise.]

"Your school counselor will be available afterwards if you have any questions or if you would like to talk with someone about any concerns that came up in filling out this questionnaire. Thank you in advance for your participation in this research."

"Please begin filling out your questionnaires now."
